10ft Ball-runner Snooker table

The Ball Runner

The Ball Runner is a striking, contemporary design feature that works just as well for the coolest pool table as it does for a striking Snooker table. Hand-shaped and detailed to suit the main table design, it does away with pocket nets, leather bags, or traditional snooker table runners. The potted balls are collected and displayed around the table – easy to remove, yet looking good while they remain –  enhancing both the beauty of the design and the quality of the playing experience.

The tables shown are all about the Ball-Runner, so the leg designs are simple. Even so, the 6 square legs and Ball Runner of the BR6 design make quite a powerful statement – especially for larger slate sizes. The two pictured here are a full-size Snooker table, made from Oak with our very own ‘Olive’ cloth, and a 10ft table which was hand crafted from the wood of a single Olive Ash tree, and clothed in Purple. The BR6 design also looks great with an 8ft or 9ft slate – either as a WPA spec. US pool table, or as 1/2 or 3/4-size English table for Snooker, Pool or any other game of Billiards.

With smaller slates, such as the 6ft and 7ft UK pub pool table sizes, and even for 8ft tables, the 4-leg design may be preferred. The Limed-Oak table shown borrows its leg from our Speed design, and has an 8ft UK-spec slate, making it a great table for a fun game of Snooker, or a seriously challenging Pool match.

In combination with one of our Pool-Dining table or Snooker-Dining table designs, it makes an intriguing statement of intent, even when the dining table tops are on, and the playing surface completely hidden. A great example of this is our Continental BR diner.

Whatever wood, size or leg-design works best for you, if you like the Ball-runner it can also be tailored to suit your style. The corners can be rounded or bevelled, rather than squared; and the sides can also be gently curved – as they are in our Riva design, for which the Ball Runner was originally made. The top of the Ball Runner is also a great place for inlays – especially in brass or steel to match the metal rods behind the pockets, a good example of which can be seen on our Continental BR page –

As with everything we do, each Ball-Runner table is completely bespoke – the choice is yours…
